Australian Billionaire Plans To Build Titanic II
A new Titanic could be sailing the high seas within a few years.
Palmer, one of the richest people in Australia with an estimated worth of more than $5 billion, said he had commissioned a state-owned Chinese company to construct Titanic II with the exact dimensions as the original.
“It will be every bit as luxurious as the original Titanic but of course it will have state-of-the-art 21st century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems,” Palmer said, according to AFP.
He said Titanic II would make its maiden voyage from England to New York in late 2016.
The news comes just two weeks after the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, which hit an iceberg on its first voyage across the Atlantic on April 15, 1912, sending more than 1,500 people to their deaths.
“Titanic II will be the ultimate in comfort and luxury with on-board gymnasiums and swimming pools, libraries, high class restaurants and luxury cabins,” Palmer said.
The cost of the new ship was not disclosed.

NUBAN Complaint Clearing Instruments: Cheques And Drafts
Pleased be informed that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has commenced the second phase of the Nigerian Universal Bank Account Number (NUBAN) Project which entails migration to NUBAN compliant cheques and other clearing instruments by Deposit Money Banks (DMBs).
In its bid to ensure compliance, the CBN has informed all DMBs that payment instruments, including cheques and drafts that are non-NUBAN compliant (do not display the new 10-digit account number), will not be allowed to pass through the Automated Clearing System from 1st of June, 2012. This applies to all individual and corporate clearing instruments.
Banks are therefore, calling on all their customers to comply with this new directive to ensure non-disruption of their banking activities from 1st of June, 2012.

- Call your bank and request for a new cheque book

- Visit any branch of your bank and request for a new cheque book
The NUBAN Project is part of the CBN’s efforts to achieve a Uniform Bank Account Numbering among all Deposit Money Bank in order to improve efficiency

Obama Declares Support For Gay Marriage
President Obama today announced that he now supports same-sex marriage, reversing his longstanding opposition amid growing pressure from the Democratic base and even his own vice president.
